A lot of people told me that jvc is new to the double-din radios and to buy another brand. what sold me was the removable face. Every double -din radio i have seen like that does not have a removable face plate. the touch screen works good, not touchy like people have said. i like the equalizer. i have subwoofers and a full system and it really makes them sound good. overall so far i love it, i have no complaints.

After shopping around quite a bit and strongly considering several Pioneer units, I settled on this radio because of the great price on Amazon compared to any other unit with similar features.
I have had the unit installed in my 2006 Mustang with the Shaker 500 system, for two weeks now. I also ordered the Metra 70-5521 harness and the Metra dash kit, both of which fit perfectly.
I am completely satisfied with the radio: control of the iPod through the head unit is a real plus. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound seems improved over the stock unit. I have also used the bluetooth connection to my Blckberry, which works smoothly. The only complaint is it takes a few seconds to load in the address book and your voice has a bit of an echo as heard by the other caller.
I did not buy satellite radio add-on, nor the back up camera. Also, I dont use any navigation system, but it appears the only option available for this unit is through an iPhone running the MotionX app.

Bought this receiver to replace my factory unit on my 2011 toyota camry. After installing this unit the factory speakers sounded way better. I have added 6.5 inch infinity 6032si's to the front door along with a infinity basslink powered sub. Dvd sounds very good, clarity and the bass is great. Video quality is great. Touch screen menus are fun to play with but you should definitely get a remote, the unit i bought did not come with a remote. Ipod quality is good, but cd's sound better. But the connecting your ipod is a great function to have all your songs in one device, and by saying good i do not mean the sound quality is poor or bad, depends on the quality of the song, buh overall very good. I use a 4th Gen ipod touch, i couldnt play movies on my JVC unit, i contacted JVC and they said i need to change a few settings on the unit. The cable i use is the KS-U30, on the jvc site it says that the cable is compatible with most ipod's and iphone's. So if your concenred about it, contact JVC and make sure your ipod is compatible with this unit. So far im very satisfied with this unit. A very negative thing about this unit is that it doesnt have DTS audio plackback capability and i dont know why JVC did dat. But it surely wont dissapoint you, a worthy addition to my car, planning on adding infinity's to the back along with the alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp. And the four star is because it lacks dts, if not its a straight five star from me.
